The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya is a lutheran denomination in Kenya,founded in 1948.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya (swahili: Kanisa la kiinjili la kilutheli katika Kenya) is a lutheran denomination in Kenya. It is a member of the global confessional and missional lutheran forum,the lutheran world federation(which it joined in 1970),and the International Lutheran Council.It is also a member of the National Council of Churches in Kenya. The current Archbishop is the Most Reverend Joseph Ochola Omolo.
The ELCK is administered from Nairobi,with the cathedral of the archbishop on Uhuru Highway,and the administrative office on University Way.The churh consists of six dioceses.

On the 26th of January 2020, in an elaborate ceremony filled with hope and high expectations, the Rev Dr. Joseph Ochola was installed as the Second Archbishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya at the Uhuru Highway Cathedral in Nairobi, Kenya.
